About the Yennaco Family
The Yennaco Family has been part of the awning business since 1942. More than 65 years later, we are proud to continue to work with historic sites, businesses and homes in the Greater Boston and Southern New Hampshire area providing high-quality, custom awnings and enclosures.
We work together as a family in the running of atlantic awning and offering unmatched products and services to our customers. We enjoy the work that brings us together and celebrates the accomplishments as a business and a family.
Doug began the awning business in 1962, acquiring atlantic awning to create a thriving business to support his young family. A graduate of Northeastern University, he spent much of his youth in the Greater Boston area and was eager to serve the customer base he knew so well. In 1990, he expanded the company northward to serve his local community in Windham, NH. The New Hampshire office now serves thousands of local customers in New Hampshire.
Today, Doug has proudly passed the torch to his children and takes part in the business as needed. During peak seasons he can still be found working in the Cutting & Stitching department and assisting with client projects, but in the off-season he enjoys vacationing in Florida and spending time with friends and family.
Jeff has spent more than 20 years working for the family business. He has worked in every area of the company from awning installations to seasonal storage. Today, he manages the Sales Department assisting customers and driving business growth. A graduate of Pinkerton Academy and Southern New Hampshire University, Jeff has the experience in business and the awning industry to help his customers find the right solution for their needs. When not focusing on atlantic awning, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
Mark married into the family business in 1998 and has proven to be a valuable asset ever since. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts, he is an experienced electrical engineer and assists with the design and engineering of some of the more complex awning and enclosure structures that the company creates. He holds a CSL license (Construction Supervisor License) for the State of Massachusetts and is skilled in CAD (computer aided drafting) which enhances the services he is able to provide.
Mark regularly provides seminars for the Professional Awning Manufacturer's Association as well as AIA/CES credit courses for trade updates in fabrics, shade and frame systems. He also enjoys working with architects, city and town planners, installers and customers in the creation and implementation of designs that fit everyone’s needs and requirements.
In addition to his work for atlantic awning, Mark spends his time with his family coaching soccer and karate, hiking, kayaking and traveling. Mark holds black belts in Shorin-Ryu and Goju-Ryu karate and has studied both Uechi-ryu and Kobudo.
After graduating from Southern University of New Hampshire, Cheryl went directly to work for the family business and has been a part of it ever since. She has worked in the Cutting & Stitching, Sales and Office Management departments during her 20 years with the company.
Today, Cheryl focuses on employee, vendor and customer relations as well as stepping in to assist with Sales and other departments when needed.
